Interesting AI

An Australian tech exec’s dog, Rose, was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Instead of accepting hospice, he used ChatGPT to help sequence DNA from the tumor and identify specific mutations.

He then used AlphaFold to predict the 3D structures of the mutated proteins and match them to drug targets. From there, the RNA Institute at UNSW manufactured a custom mRNA vaccine in under two months. Within a month of treatment, the cancer shrank by 75% and Rose went from barely moving to jumping fences. It’s being called the first custom mRNA vaccine designed with the help of a chatbot.
