Mind-Blowing AI
Sam Altman recently discussed the rapid advancements in AI programming capabilities during Dialogue at UTokyo GlobE #14.
He mentioned that the first reasoning model OpenAI developed was ranked around 1 millionth among competitive programmers. Then, a subsequent model reached the top 10,000, and by December, O3 had climbed to 175th in the world. Now, their latest internal benchmark places their best AI model at around 50th, with the possibility of reaching number one by the end of the year.
